(14/03/2017) Venue Logistics Update on the venue logistics - if the total numbers remain below 150 sailors across Main and Regatta fleets the plan would be to run everyone out of Royal Torbay Yacht Club. If the number exceeds this, then the intention would be to deploy a couple of the large clubs out of Paignton Sailing Club – all Regatta Fleet would be based from RTYC. The final position of the location of sailors will be updated in the middle of next week once the early entry has ended. (07/03/2017) XXXI TROFEO MARCO RIZZOTTI Notice from the Selection Committee. (02/03/2017) Springs 17 Race Office The IOCA (UK) Race Office at RTYC will be open from Friday 24 March. To contact John Perham - IOCA (UK) Admin on Thursday 23 call 07713 499225. (22/02/2017) International online entry International entries should complete an online entry and then contact John Perham admin@optimist.org.uk for payment information. GoCardless can only be used with a UK bank account. (06/02/2017) Fleet locations for Springs 17 The intention is that both clubs will do a launch and the Main Fleet race track will be half way between. We are currently working with the clubs to establish which is the safest one for the Regatta fleet to launch from – then in priority would look to add Main fleet sailors with Regatta siblings and then try to keep whole clubs together. This is going to be a bit of an organisational challenge and will take some time before it can confirm who will be at which club. The clubs are about 2 miles apart. (10/01/2017) Irish Junior Selection Policy This is the policy for the Junior Team for Irish Nationals 2017. The selection of the team will be made at the Spring Championships 2017 as one event for selection with Inlands 2017 as back up if the Springs fail. The team will have 16 sailors with a 5 girl minimum allocation. So if you want to be in the GBR Irish Team 2017 you need to race at the Spring Championships 2017.
