4.15 Parents de-brief

Itís a busy weekend with other trainings and Barts Bash on Sunday. We need to make sure that all kit is kept close to you as weekends like these are where kits gets mixed up.

Welcome to the new members to the fleet. I will have time to discuss with all of you how the fleet works and which events qualify you for what events. We also have some experienced parents (not old....just experienced) that I know will offer huge amounts of advice on their time in the fleet.

On the water there will be almost two different weekends running. Firstly, one for sailors new to the boat, time will be spent running through how we set the boat up, key body positions and so on. Secondly, we have a group of really experienced sailors from the current radial fleet or transitioned from 4.7ís. For these sailors we will be looking at that idea of how do we generate 100% max speed. This is all about that Ď6th gearí that we need off the start line. We will be using the start line as a basis for many exercises as this will be vital to get the results in the qualifier next weekend.

Part of sunday we will be looking to link up with Barts Bash, I will have entry forms that we can fill i on Saturday morning. For those of you that donít know Bart was a laser sailor at the start of his career and each year we support this event, he was a top top man and it also means our sailors get to sit on start lines with all sorts of medalists and famous sailors!
