Saturday 1st May 2010

1020 Morning all.......

1020 So here we are at the second selection weekend in a dull and overcast Pwllheli. Little wind so currently AP flying with a 2 hour postponement

1021 - So we're sharing the Race Office this weekend with the 420 Fleet, also here for their selection trials. Lesley Foskett is doing an admirable job, but there's a little bit of competition. I'm pleased to say the Optimist fleet populated their Official Notice Board before the 420s this morning......Game on!

1151 - No news I'm afraid, sailors still ashore, but our husbands have joined us in the Race Office!

1153 - Wind currently SE, approx 8 knots but unsettled

1213 - Further postponement flying AP Flag on Numeral 3 pennant. No start before 1400

1254 - Further postponement flying AP Flag over Numeral 4 penant. No start before 1500

1357 - Further postponement flying AP Flag over Numeral 5 penant. No start before 1600. For those of you following 420 blog you may be wandering why their postponements are running at 1 hour less than ours.......poor things don't have a flag role and hence are using ours, but we only have one of each numeral penant available!

1700 - No Racing today folks. First warning signal on Sunday 2nd May at 1025
